STAMPS TO THE RESCUE

Scores of Media Outlets Cover Halo / USPS Stamps to the Rescue Campaign & 1 Million Meal Donation

The unveiling of the USPS Animal Rescue stamps and Stamps to the Rescue Campaign on March 17 – including Halo’s plans to donate 1 Million Meals of Halo Spot’s Stew to pets awaiting adoption – set off a firestorm of media coverage. Here’s a sketch of this campaign’s exposure in March.

First, the Post Master General of the U.S. appeared on The Ellen Show to unveil the stamps, and Ellen announced the 1 Million Meals plan. The same day, the US Postal Service placed 2’x3’ posters (saying “Halo buys the food for 1 million shelter pets”) and counter cards (saying “Give Shelter Pets a First Class Meal”) in every US Post Office (over 30,000 of them). Ads appeared on USPS.com (with 1.2 million visitors/day), in hundreds of thousands of USPS online order packages, and on a new site, Stampstotherescue.com.

Then the firestorm hit. Stories about the campaign appeared in USA Today, the LA Times (here and here), People (People Pets), DogChannel.com, CatChannel.com, E! Online, Examiner.com (stories 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5!), About.com, and so much more. Click the green bars below to see additional coverage.

These are some of the amazing bloggers who covered our story:

Lastly, eternal thanks to all our friends, followers and fans on Facebook and Twitter who have delivered hundreds of thousands of messages about this campaign to their friends and family!
